1978 Gibson LesPaul Deluxe: Left Handed John’s oldest guitar, this Cherry Sunburst classic makes a few appearances on the “Cobalt Blue” & “Songbook.” The Rosewood fret board & Humbucking pickups provide the unmistakably warm Les Paul tone, which supplies the throaty sustain to the electric slide passages on “Cobalt Blue,” “Wax Anvil” & “Here, With You.” John used a Line 6 Flextone II amplifier with his vintage Les Paul. |

New Arrivals! Recently, John added to his collection a Fender Stratocaster (Highway One series) and a Taylor Classical/Nylon String (model NS52ce)...of course both are Left-Handed; both made in California.
These two beauties are featured on “The Fossils” Eon Rising along with the Guild & the Weber. The Strat is used, for example, for Slide on “Your Time Has Come;” the Taylor butters up “Lullaby Rain” and “Tell Me That You Love Me.” |
